Spring has sprung at Beaufort House

Chicks explore the sensory room

Residents at Beaufort House were in for an Easter treat when staff arranged for the home to look after eggs in an incubator over the holiday period. There was much excitement when the hatching began and soon the chicks settled in and explored the sensory room which had been newly decorated for Spring. The chicks were happy to be handled by residents who visibly enjoyed the experience and all were sad to see them go.

Whitmore Vale House in Hindhead held a marvellous Macmillan Coffee Morning in the Day Service on site.

What a brilliant morning this was with residents, families, friends and staff viewing arts and crafts created in the Day Service and tucking into delicious home made cake with a cup of tea.

The impressive sum of £114 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support on the day.

Thank you to everyone who came!

Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt, Member of Parliament for South West Surrey and Councillor Patricia Ellis, the Mayor of Waverley were invited to Turner Court to join in the celebrations.

Jeremy said, ‘What Turner Court provides for its residents is invaluable. Not only is there superb accommodation but they benefit hugely from the regular support and unfailing dedication of Whitmore Vale’s team of staff, led by Chief Executive, Ryan Kelley. It is no doubt testament to their hard work that so many of the original tenants are still occupying the flats twenty years on and the community at Turner Court continues to thrive as it does. I wish all the current residents the best for the future and Whitmore Vale Housing Association continued success with their plans for further expansion.’
